Traditional Welsh Nursing shawl in Peach and Cream

This traditional Welsh Nursing shawl has fine lines of emerald and burgundy to complement the main peach fawn and cream colouring.

Such a large shawl was originally designed to wrap both mother and baby. It meant she could carry her baby and keep him or her warm, whilst keeping her hands free to carry on with her work.

These shawls are fine ply and coal pressed and so they are very soft against the skin. Over the back of the sofa they are wonderful to snuggle up into on a winter's evening.
