Peachy Pink and Pale Blue North Country Quilt 2312

Lovely Peachy pink satin cotton reversing to a soft pale blue ( as with most blues there is gentle fading on this side ) Purchased in Swansea but  some of the quilting is reminscent of ' Durham Quilting ' whilst in other parts it could almost be Welsh .  Over the years we have come across a number of these quilts which we label ' crossover quilts'  where members of a family have moved from South Wales to Northumberland and back again - either as seafaring families or following the coal mining industury and the two traditions have combined. A mystery...
