Victorian Faux Patchwork - Lovely decorative fabric from the late nineteenth /early twentieth century
The Victorian designers loved to create fabric that imitated patchwork , early pieces displayed simple stitched patterns such as red and white blocks but as time went by they became more and more intricate- here the designer has gone way beyond a pieced design creating a floral patchwork with additional flowers . Subtle reds and pinks with cream a very pretty print. Reverse is a plain white Victorian cotton
