A rare and unusual nineteenth century Welsh Blanket in deep blue, grey-blue and cream.
( we havent seen anothr one in these colours )
Made on a narrow loom and joined up the middle, rolled ends.
Came from the Llanybydder area so was probably from one of the many small mills existing in the nineteenth century using water power from the river Teifi and its tributaries. ( sadly long gone !)
Tiny historic darns but otherwise in excellent condition .
A collectable piece of Welsh Heritage that is still very usable.
